We’ve shared another year,
a life
our path,
together.

If I could begin again…
Perhaps I’d begin with
a softer heart holding more trust,
Less of a need for You to change for me
to see your true gifts.

And yet, maybe I’d show up just as I was.

For it’s within the contrast
we find the true value.
The missteps and the lessons.
The truth hidden yet surrounded by love
