What is a Reflection Session?

A Reflection Session is a private Reiki session offered in nature on our private farm. It is a deeply personalized healing session that includes the presence and intuitive participation of our horses and dogs.

Together- me (your practitioner), you (the client), and our horses co-create an energetic space that allows for clarity, grounding, and energetic realignment. The connection with nature and the animals amplify the experience, inviting deep transformation and reflection.

What does a Reflection Session look like?

Before we schedule your session, we’ll begin with a brief conversation to explore your goals, intentions, and any specific needs you may have. This helps me and the animals prepare energetically for your arrival.

When you arrive, we’ll revisit your intention and prepare for the session. You’ll remove your shoes and lie down on a Reiki table. The table may be placed either:

Outdoors in the pasture, while the horses roam freely and able to interact physically or energetically with you,
Or inside the barn, with the horses nestled close by in their stalls

Your table location will be discussed and agreed upon prior to your visit. Weather may determine where the session takes place unless we collectively choose to reschedule.

During the session, I will use gentle, static hand placements on or just above your body, focusing on your chakras (energy centers). My intention is to facilitate the movement of energy and support the release of any blockages or stagnation.

In the pasture, horses may choose to engage with you physically, gently touching a part of your body that calls to them—or they may hold space, anchoring a field of safety and energetic support.

In the barn, the table is positioned near the horse who has offered to lead the session, allowing gentle, intentional contact if they choose. The rest of the herd stays close by in their stalls, grounding and holding collective space.

After the Reiki portion concludes, we will have a few minutes for gentle integration and reflection, sharing any insight, clarity, or guidance that may have arisen.

What to Expect / What Might I Feel?

Every Reflection Session is as unique as you are.

Some people experience:

A sense of deep peace and calm
Emotional release or resolution of stuck feelings
Deep clarity and insight
Movement or warmth within the body
The presence of ancestors, spirit guides, or loved ones
Or simply fall into a restorative sleep (as my husband often does!)

Whatever comes through will meet you where you are, offering only what you are ready to receive at that moment in your journey.

Our horses are sentient beings with agency, wisdom, and power. Their participation is voluntary. They offer their gifts through trust, connection, and the joy they feel in this shared healing space.

I approach each session with reverence for their sovereignty, and I ask that you do the same. Gratitude, humility, and presence are foundational to this work.

Why Horses? How Do They Work With Reiki?

Horses are deeply vibrational beings. Within a herd, they naturally seek and maintain energetic homeostasis. Their high-frequency resonance and intuitive nature allow them to sense imbalances and gently support the return to harmony.

By immersing ourselves in their presence, we open a doorway to their ancient, subtle wisdom. In Reflection Sessions, we pause. We invite that wisdom in. We remember.
